“Aw, DJ, play it again!” That’s my fave lyric that comes at my fave moment in our latest cardio song “billionaire” by Floyd Wonder. It comes right after the duck-and-double-down moves (which are cool and fun). Those smooth, bass-voice Wonder boys belt out that lyric and you get a jolt of a badass beat from some electronic thing that sounds like a horn and a drum rolled into one, and it makes you NOT want to stop! But then, surprise…You do have a few seconds to stop. You’ve got a moment to think, “Well, maybe I will stop. Right now!” And if that’s what you decide, then go for it. Take a drink of water and just dance it out to the end (it’s a great dance track). On the other hand, if you’ve been doing the double-down burpees so far in the track, you might decide to take it down a notch and do back lunges (I’ll show you in the song). Or, if you’ve been doing the back-lunges mod all along, maybe that jolt makes you want to try the burpees (they feel super-badass). IT DOESN’T MATTER. All that matters is that you move that great body of yours (it’s great, and if you don’t think that’s true, maybe you’re just not dancing enough) to the music. That you activate those muscles you’ve had all along, so you feel them in there. They are powerful, just as they are. You are powerful, just as you are. Don’t you want to feel it? Nancy credits Oula Power with giving her courage and grit, not to mention a sense of being just a bit bada**, something she believes everyone needs in this life. It all started when Nancy found Oula in 2020 at the Billings YMCA. That led her to Studio Soul, and she knew she had found her people. With the help of the fabulous instructors there she certified as an Oula instructor herself and, not long after that, as an Oula Power instructor. She now draws strength, love and joy from every Oula class, every single time.

I listened to Britney Spears' memoir, “The Woman In Me” last week. The fact that a mentally capable adult was put under a conservatorship is both fascinating and horrifying. Britney Spears suffered for 13 years under conservatorship. Her father was appointed guardian, and he determined what she c...

You are strong; you were born for it. If you don’t know that – if you don’t feel it – well, don’t waste another day without feeling the power you’ve always had. Sure, your power comes from your body. But it also comes from your mind, and your soul. It doesn’t come from counting how many pushups y...
