We have Jason Derulo and Flo Rida in the SAME track this week, the classic “Hello, Friday” as a standing warm-up. And I get so excited I kind of lose my place (you’ll see). But the moves are all great, so we can just go with it. That’s one of the things I love about Oula Power. You can let the music do the work. You don’t have to psych yourself up to get moving; the songs will do that for you. All you have to do is follow along and move your muscles. We don’t need weights, or bands or kettlebells in this class in order to feel strong. All we need is your body, exactly in the shape and strength it is right now, and a little bit of soul. You’re going to feel strong, right now. Not later. Now. Now THAT feels good! (New core track this week, too, and I’ve changed up my studio a little bit. Looks better, I think.) Here’s the playlist:

Nancy credits Oula Power with giving her courage and grit, not to mention a sense of being just a bit bada**, something she believes everyone needs in this life. It all started when Nancy found Oula in 2020 at the Billings YMCA. That led her to Studio Soul, and she knew she had found her people. With the help of the fabulous instructors there she certified as an Oula instructor herself and, not long after that, as an Oula Power instructor. She now draws strength, love and joy from every Oula class, every single time.

In September each week we learned 3 new tracks. Now in October we are really focusing in on using good alignment and movement patterns in tandem with establishing mind muscle connects and using great recruitment patterns. Let's focus on one thing we can do better today in class to move well.

I had to bring those two cool dudes from Floyd Wonder back out of the vault this week. “Billionaire” is such a great cardio track, and when the guys say “Aw, DJ, play it again!” I don’t care that the burpee part repeats. I can always take it down a notch or two or more if I’ve run out of gas by t...
