We all want to feel strong. But how do you get yourself there, when you actually feel the total opposite? How do you grit your teeth and hold your head high, when your chin and neck say, nah, we’re going back to bed? Mine say that to me all the time. They just don’t listen to me, dammit! But they do listen to Neoni. And to Tiesto. Sigala. Imanbek. J Balvin and Willy William...You know where I am going with this. When I need to feel strong, I put on a playlist and do an Oula Power class. And then feeling strong just kind of sneaks up on me. What a feeling. That’s the Oula magic. It always works. Here’s the playlist:

Nancy credits Oula Power with giving her courage and grit, not to mention a sense of being just a bit bada**, something she believes everyone needs in this life. It all started when Nancy found Oula in 2020 at the Billings YMCA. That led her to Studio Soul, and she knew she had found her people. With the help of the fabulous instructors there she certified as an Oula instructor herself and, not long after that, as an Oula Power instructor. She now draws strength, love and joy from every Oula class, every single time.

Happy 2025! I love this little checklist by Brandi Kincaid to help us start the New Year in a gentle frame of mind. It's called Things I Do Not Have To Do At The End Of This Year:
1. Leave myself at the door.
2. Punish myself for anything I did or did not do.
3. Let anyone else's accomplishments... -

The theme for our new playlist is "In My Mind." A lot of songs that discuss being "in my mind" portray it as a negative, dark place to be. We hear about "the monsters in my head." It makes me curious about what the opposite of being in my mind is. Being in my body? Being in the present?

Oulaverse!
A lot of songs talk about having "monsters in my mind." What is the opposite of having monsters in our minds? What does that feel like? What strategies can we use to inhibit monsters in our minds? Things to ponder.
